I went out for an easy run after work. I ran a relatively flat 8.42 miles with nothing in my stomach. I didn't take a Gu (100 calories) with me like I normally do for runs over 6 or 7 miles. I'm also trying to keep my caloric intake low to lose body fat. And my last excuse for this crappy run is that I rode my bike last night for an hour. These are all weak excuses, I know.
But I ran the 8.42 miles in 1:31:14, which is an average pace of 10:50mm, avg HR of 158 bpm, and 914 calories. Garmin Connect says my best pace was 7:31mm, but that can't be right. Max HR of 188 bpm, which was probably on Montgomery between Bethesda North and Weller Road.
I did walk 0.05 miles 2 or 3 times when I wimped out. I have a group swim in the morning, so off to bed early.
